Fun fact Wednesday!

The very first press release dates all the way back to 1906, written by American Publicist, Ivy Lee. His strategy of reporting a horrific railway accident from the perspective of the Pennsylvania Railroad is considered the first example of a modern communication crisis and his words were published, verbatim, by the NY Times on October 30, 1906.

Ivy believed that in order to win public trust and "good will", companies should honestly and accurately present their position. This core belief continues to inspire RED PR, where we champion transparency and foster open communication between ourselves, our clients, and the consumer.
